Chennedy Carter just put up the most ridiculous statline you’ll see

Chennedy Carter is not signed yet WNBA Teams this offseason – but she continues to dominate the overseas competition.

Carter, who last played for the Chicago Sky, posted ridiculous statistics in her upset playoff victory at the Women's China Basketball Association (WCBA).

Carter will play for the 13th Wuhan club, defeating fourth seeded Shanghai 88-86 in the opening game of the WCBA playoffs. In particular, she shot 6-11 from 3 in a postseason matchup. This is a particularly impressive feat, considering that she is not known for her three-point shooting. After her victory, she turned to social media.

In China this season, Carter averages 32 points per game. He's almost eight points higher than the league's second-best goalscorer, Myisha Hines-Allen. She also leads three steels with an average of 6.3 assists per game (second in the WCBA).

Despite her strong overseas play and the fact that she is away from her career years in the sky, Carter has yet to be signed by the WNBA team. Carter averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists last season, earning a career-high 48.7% off the field. The four-year WNBA veteran spent two seasons with the Atlanta Dream (2020-2021), one with the Los Angeles Sparks (2022), and one with the Sky (2024). She is very likely the most talented free agent in the market who played for the WNBA team last season. Emma Meesseman and Elena Delle Donne are still available, but they didn't play for the WNBA last year either.
