Chicago man beats down home intruder with a large frying pan, and it’s all caught on security video: ‘Almost killed him!’

A Chicago man hit a man who broke into his home with a large frying pan, and the argument turned violent. arrested The man was seen on surveillance camera footage.

Jason Williams said his security app notified him about a possible intruder in his home around 3:30pm on Thursday, so he rushed home and armed himself with the most accessible weapon he had on hand – a large frying pan.

The 45-year-old man confronted the intruder and used a frying pan to chase him out of his home in the 3400 block of West Parker.

The video shows the intruder running out the front of the home, leaping up a flight of stairs and trying to escape Williams, who chases after him and is wielding a frying pan.

A banging sound can be heard in the footage after the pair move out of frame.

Police arrived a short time later and arrested the alleged intruder, described as a 33-year-old man. Police transported him to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment and he was listed in good condition.

Police say Williams refused medical treatment but chose to press charges against the intruder.
