Chicago Public Schools’ sex education curriculum begins in kindergarten, teaching students about the human anatomy, followed by first graders learning how to define “gender identity,” and by fifth graders being introduced to puberty suppressants.

“You start to see them slowly, bit by bit, nudging kids in the direction of hardcore queer theory,” said Ryen Staley, a researcher at Parents Defending Education who discovered the sex-ed curriculum. “So by the time they get to fifth grade, you see them starting to teach kids about transgender people and puberty blockers.”
Just 31 percent of elementary school students in Chicago Public Schools are considered proficient in reading, 2 percentage points lower than in the latest survey results. “Only one in six Chicago third graders can read at grade level. Why not focus the CPS superintendent on accomplishing the basic requirements of his job instead of using his taxpayer-funded position to push a radical activist agenda on kids as young as 4 years old?” Michelle Exner, senior advisor at Parents Defending Education, told Fox News Digital.
“This shouldn’t be difficult. Parents have a right to know that their children are learning academic subjects in school and that class time is not being wasted on useless and divisive content.”

Before Parents Defending Education exposed Chicago Public Schools’ sex-ed classes, the school district had repeatedly denied requests for such materials, including a federal Freedom of Information Act request filed by the conservative digital news outlet The Daily Caller.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Chicago Public Schools system for comment but did not receive a response.
