Child actor Hudson Meek died at the age of 16 after tumbling out of a moving vehicle.
The teen actor was best known for his role in the action film “Baby Driver.” His mother, Lani Wells Meeks, shared a heartbreaking message on social media Dec. 21, confirming his tragic death.
“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight,” she wrote on Facebook. “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”

Law enforcement sources said Meek fell in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, recieving blunt force trauma injuries, according to TMZ. He was transported to the hospital after the incident and received treatment for his injuries. He was declared dead two days later.
The details and circumstances leading up to his fall were not publicly shared.
Meek was described as a devout Christian and loving teenager who enjoyed time with his friends, participated actively in water sports and enjoyed the great outdoors in an obituary that was shared online. He was a sports fan and an avid scuba diver.
The actor had already made quite a name for himself in the world of entertainment. His many credits included the part of “Young Baby” in the Academy Award-nominated film “Baby Driver.” He also appeared on television in shows such as “MacGyver,” “Found,” “Legacies” and the hit 2015 movie “90 Minutes in Heaven.”
Meek also did voice-over work for Toys-R-Us and McDonald’s commercials over the course of his career.
His obituary said he was “surrounded by friends, family, and the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
As his final act of kindness on earth, his organs are being donated to help people in need of transplants.
“Specific details regarding a Celebration of Hudson’s Life to be held on December 28, as well as how to contribute to a scholarship in Hudson’s memory at Vestavia Hills High School in lieu of flowers, will follow,” his mother said on Facebook. “Please pray for our family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss,” she said.
