China’s Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao defeated South Korea’s Keum Ji-hyun and Park Ha-jun 16-12 in the 10-meter air rifle mixed team event on Saturday to win the first gold medal of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

It is the first Olympic medal for the South Korean pair, with Keum winning gold in the women’s 10-meter air rifle at the World Cup earlier this year.

Kazakhstan’s Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev beat Germany’s Anna Jansen and Maximilian Ulbrich to win the bronze medal on Saturday, marking their first medal of the Paris Olympics.

The Kazakhstan team won the match 17-5. Le and Satpayei defeated Great Britain’s Seonaidh McIntosh and Michael Bargeron on Thursday.
