MSNBC hosts were quickly criticized on social media for their comments.
Joe Walsh, a former Republican lawmaker and fierce critic of President Trump, said Trump’s comments were “pretty arrogant.”
“The talking heads on MSNBC are making a mockery of the American people,” Walsh said. “You’re making fun of them. You’re making fun of Americans who are concerned about immigration. It’s pretty arrogant and out of line. Not a good look, Democrats.”
