Lucasfilm released a statement after the fact, saying:[H]Social media posts that denigrate people based on their cultural or religious identity are abhorrent and unacceptable. ”
The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, alleges that Carano was harassed over the political views she publicly shared on social media sites such as X.
“However, the rule of law still governs the defendants’ empire, and Carano has committed their bullying, discriminatory, and retaliatory acts, which not only inflicted significant emotional harm, but also cost millions of dollars in losses. “I am coming back to hold you accountable for what I did, and I have income,” the lawsuit states.
Company X said it funded the lawsuit as part of its “commitment to free speech.”
“The online platform is proud to provide financial support to Ms. Carano’s case and to ensure that she seeks justice for her right to free speech regarding X and the ability to work without bullying, harassment, or discrimination. We will make it possible,” the social media platform’s statement continued.

Carano reacted to the news, writing, “The truth is that I was being hounded from everything I posted to every post I liked because I didn’t live up to the accepted narrative at the time. X owner Elon Musk also commented on the news.
“If you would like to join the lawsuit against Disney, please let us know,” he wrote.
