Conservatives Need to Be Actively Involved to Counter Left's Legal Strategies

Conservative Movement Emphasized at YAF Conference

At the Young America’s Foundation (YAF) National Conservative Student Conference, Alex Marlow, the editor-in-chief of Breitbart News, expressed a strong vision for the conservative movement, describing it as “robust” and “charismatic.” His remarks focused on the need to win what he termed the culture war while countering “radical leftist laws.”

Marlow discussed the Democratic Party’s controversial legal strategies, drawing insights from his newly published book, Breaking the Law: Exposing the Weaponization of the American Legal System Against Donald Trump. He referenced the ongoing cultural conflicts and highlighted a perceived conservative victory over what he views as a deteriorating leftist agenda.

He reflected on what Andrew Breitbart, the late founder of Breitbart News, might have thought about current events, recalling his phrase that “politics is downstream from culture.”

Marlow critiqued the Democrats, questioning their spending of $20 million on consultants who, in his view, resort to dismissive tactics, such as branding opponents with unflattering labels. He emphasized that Andrew would have celebrated the current conservative momentum as a realization of his vision.

According to Marlow, while the conservative movement has made strides, the left remains strategically active. He warned against underestimating their innovative approaches and efforts to regain ground, noting that the legal front has become a primary battleground.

He provided a brief overview of his book, highlighting various legal challenges against Donald Trump, out of which several were criminal cases aiming to imprison him, while others were designed to financially drain him. Marlow believes these cases indicate a coordinated effort linked to Joe Biden’s administration, which he deems a significant case of election interference.

Marlow argued that accountability is crucial, asserting that failure to address these issues could result in similar occurrences in future elections. He suggested that reforms are needed within the judicial system to counteract excessive liberal influence on the bench.

He called for a vigorous conservative movement to rectify these issues, emphasizing the importance of nominating judges who respect the original intent of the Constitution. Marlow concluded by stressing the need for active engagement and recruitment within the conservative community to empower the movement and restore what he sees as the American dream.
