Harkavi, who has worked in the construction industry for 10 years, said he sometimes finds old magazines, newspapers and other items inside walls and under floors.
Things got serious when he realized the item was explosive.
“I got a little scared, so I put down the bathtub and ran out of the room. I waited about five minutes just to be sure,” Harkavy told a trade publication and website that reports on housing, commercial and home-related information. told one professional remodeler. General remodeling company.
“I didn't know if I had caused anything.”
“Even if you opened that compartment, you wouldn't know it was there.”

The grenade was hidden in the wall through a human-accessible compartment under the bathtub and a closet on the opposite side of the bathroom wall, Professional Remodeling reported.
“Even if you opened that compartment, you wouldn't know it was there,” Harkavy told the site.
“There's electrical and plumbing in the way and everything is so tight that you wouldn't have noticed if you stuck your head in.”
“So someone had to know it was there from the way they got in.”

Harkavi said he lost three hours of work after finding the hidden grenade, but was not in danger of losing his life, KIRO 7 reported.
“Whether it's a bomb or a grenade, it's an explosive. I've got kids and a wife at home, so I'd rather play it safe than sorry,” he told the station.
