According to a statement from Cornell University and videos posted on social media, the protests turned violent and began intimidating fair-goers.

Stith insisted that the protesters were non-violent and that “there were no violent clashes with police.”
In 2023, a Cornell professor wrote to the board of trustees saying faculty at the school were “very anti-Israel” and urged the board to halt efforts to implement DEI policies that could exacerbate extremism on campus.
