Cosplay influencer 'Kit Noel' taken into custody for making bomb threats against rival at Texas anime event

A well-known cosplayer was apprehended on Sunday after allegedly threatening to detonate a bomb at a competitor’s booth during an anime convention in Texas.

Kendra Noel Manning, a 25-year-old who goes by “Kit Noel,” is facing accusations of making a terrorist threat that disrupts public safety.

Reports indicate that Manning commented on another influencer’s Instagram during the San Japan Anime + Gaming Convention, stating, “I’ll plant a bomb in today’s booth.”

Concerned that her comments were serious, attendees alerted the event organizers and contacted law enforcement.

The following day, Manning was prohibited from attending the convention and was charged with criminal trespassing.

Many attendees expressed genuine fear due to her comments and behavior at the event, highlighting significant safety concerns. According to reports, Manning confirmed making the threat before leaving the convention and was subsequently arrested.

She was later released on a $35,000 bond.

Manning enjoys significant popularity on social media, boasting around 115,000 followers on TikTok and about 16,000 on Instagram. Her most viewed TikTok showcases her dressed as members of the X-Men, receiving roughly 32,000 views.

On the day she was removed from the convention, Manning had intended to appear as the Joker’s notorious companion, Harley Quinn. Interestingly, she was drawing Raven from the Teen Titans at the time of the threat.
