Cotton Bowl Schools Take Millions in Foreign Funding, Waste Millions on Left-Wing DEI

As Ohio State University and the University of Texas prepare to battle in this year's Cotton Bowl, both schools are already leading in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) spending, and their We accept funding from organizations. Useless left-wing “research”.

Government watchdog group Open the Books investigation An analysis of the spending at these two major universities revealed that the schools were rife with wasteful and dangerous spending. As the group noted, “From damaging far-left research to concerns about foreign funding, our auditors have some statistics about these candidates that you probably won't see on TV. .”

In its long list of findings, Open the Books detailed that Ohio State University, for example, employs 201 people in various DEI roles at an annual salary cost of $13.3 million.

But perhaps even more concerning is that OSU has accepted an incredible $203.5 million in foreign funding since 2013.

The school also wastes millions of dollars on nonsense courses with titles like “Queer Ecology: Gender, Sexuality, and the Environment” to “combat misinformation” and quash free speech in the United States. He also received $749,999 from Joe Biden's corrupt government to research methods.

The University of Texas spent $8 million on staff in its Diversity and Community Engagement department and another $1.8 million on staff in other DEI roles.

Fortunately, this situation will not continue, as the Lone Star State passed a law that prohibits state-funded schools from maintaining DEI programs and status. But the new law didn't stop schools from pumping millions of dollars into DEI programs, initiatives, and positions before the ban went into effect.

As for foreign funding for the University of Texas, the school has received $380.5 million in foreign funding since 2013. The largest amounts came from America's enemies China and Saudi Arabia.

Both schools also accept large amounts of wasteful subsidies from the federal government to fund their leftist foolish activities. The state of Ohio received $717,000 from the Department of Agriculture to devise a way to persuade people to eat bugs instead of real food. And the state of Texas was willing to receive $792,443 from the Department of Health and Human Services to develop a plan to stop people from believing that “everyone is cisgender and heterosexual.”

Both schools also reversed course and donated some of their cash to radical left-wing groups, with Texas State donating to groups like the Equal Justice Center and the Austin Justice Coalition. Transgender Equity Consulting Inc. and Inclusion Nation also received tens of thousands of dollars in funding.

Open the Books concludes its report: “Federal taxpayers should demand their coins back!”
