Country music star sells Tesla to protest Elon Musk, donates media

Country Music star Sheryl Crow announced on Instagram that he sold Tesla to protest Elon Musk's involvement in President Donald Trump's administration, and donated proceeds to NPR.

“My parents always said… you're the person you're hanging out, and it's time for you to decide who you're going to work with.

Crow, a critic of President Trump, reflected the concerns of Democrats and liberal critics.

“Money donated to @NPR, threatened by President Musk, in the hope that the truth will continue to find a way to those who want to know the truth.” She continued the post.

President Trump predicts that Elon Musk will dispose of “thousands of billions” in the next DOGE directive

Crow said in 2017 that he wanted him to be fired up each towards the start of Trump's first term. She said the first 144 days of his presidency were “just chaos.”

“It actually kept me up at night,” she admitted. “It permeates our everyday lives. It's not healthy for me… I'm worried about our democracy, that we rely on as Americans. We're the truth. I don't know what it is.”

Media members have suggested that Musk was the “shadow” president before Trump took office.
