Couple Accidentally Ships Pet Cat To California In An Amazon Return Package

A Utah couple tried to return an Amazon package when they accidentally sent their cat to California in a huge mix-up, KSLTV reported.

Carrie Clark said her family’s cat, Galina, mysteriously disappeared on April 10th. according to KSLTV.

“Galina has been a huge support to me and has helped me overcome many health challenges over the past six years,” Clark told KSLTV. “Her anxiety and stress was unbearable as she didn’t know what had happened to her.”

Clark’s friends and family helped search for the indoor cat and created missing posters that were distributed around town and on social media, the newspaper reported. A week after Galina went missing, Clark received a text that Galina’s microchip had been scanned.

Clark then received a call from a veterinarian all the way from California, the newspaper reported. She says her veterinarian told her that her cat was found in an Amazon box. Galina was traveling with five pairs of steel-toed work boots in the box Clark returned.

“When I ran to tell my husband that Galina had been found, we both broke down in tears as we realized she must have jumped into the oversized box we had shipped the previous Wednesday,” she told KSL-TV. .

An Amazon employee named Brandi rescued the cat from a box as it came through the warehouse, kept it overnight and took it to the vet the next day, the newspaper reported.

“[Brandy] “It was such a relief to know that we loved Galena and had been looking for her so desperately,” Clark told the magazine.

Clark and her husband immediately booked a flight to pick up their furry friend. “We brought Galina a pink carrier bag, food, her favorite treats, and towels that smelled like home. We couldn’t wait to see her again!” she told KSL TV.

According to the newspaper, Galina was without food or water for six days. There was a tear in one of the seams of her box, which made it easier for her to breathe. Clark said temperatures were “ideal” and Galena did not freeze or overheat, KSL-TV reported.

“It was a wonderful reunion! As soon as I hugged Galina again, she stopped shaking and relaxed in my arms,” ​​Clark told KSL-TV. “Although she was thinner than before and had mild dehydration, her blood tests were completely normal and she was completely unharmed.”
