Horse Debacle at Target

A man recently made headlines by riding a horse into a Target store, causing quite the scene. Honestly, it sounds like the setup for a poor joke, but it’s very much real.

This event has a viral video, showing the man, donning a cowboy hat, leap onto a horse with a friend in a Target parking lot during the night. They then dash through the automatic doors, galloping down the aisles like characters from a Western film—albeit surrounded by ordinary store items.

This took place in Dallas, Texas, and while you might think this adds to the absurdity, it’s still a lot to process.

From a different angle, you see the two interacting with shoppers, many of whom watch in utter disbelief while laughing. One woman even pets the horse, treating it like a standard part of her shopping trip.

“Did you see it? It’s a horse!” shouts one onlooker. Another asks, “Sir, what is it?”

Meanwhile, store employees begin to scramble, realizing something unusual is happening. They grab their walkie-talkies, trying to manage the chaos unfolding around them.

The narrator of the video, riding behind the horse, expresses concern, exclaiming, “I hope he doesn’t henna,” just as the camera reveals that the horse has indeed made a mess on the floor.

Upon noticing this, an employee calls out, “Take that horse and get out of the store!” as if the droppings were a bigger deal than the horse itself.

Ultimately, the men left the store with their horses, receiving compliments from several employees about the animals being “very beautiful.”

The video has since garnered over 6 million views, and honestly, I don’t think that’s enough. It’s one of the most amusing things I’ve seen online this year.

Commenters seem to share the sentiment. One person humorously said, “I love this! I wish they would have brought something to catch the poop. That’s so disrespectful,” clearly unsure of her stance in the situation.

Another pointed out, “Everyone brings their dogs, so why can’t my horse, my emotional support, join?” which, in a way, makes sense.

This isn’t actually the men’s first encounter with such antics. The primary figure, Stephen Harmon, has been a professional horse racer for over 15 years, according to his Instagram. He doubles as a content creator, which involves doing things like this for views.

He had previously been asked to leave a Tractor Supply store due to similar behavior. He also once rode his horse to a gas station for snacks.

I personally took my horse through a fast-food drive-thru once, and the staff came outside to take my order—quite respectful, I’d say.

In other bizarre but true news, not too long ago, a Florida grandmother appeared on Good Morning America with her pet alligator, Myrtle, explaining the creature goes everywhere with her, including the supermarket.

“She gets grumpy if I don’t take her,” the woman said, indicating their close bond.

When asked what it’s like to live with an alligator, she replied, “It’s like living with a scaly cat that loves the sun. She hogs the balcony and snores louder than my late husband.”

That’s a wrap for today’s unusual news.
