“We love Trump!” and “Four more years!” chanted the crowd at former President Donald Trump’s historic rally in the Bronx, another warning to Democrats as Trump campaigns in their backyard.
“Joe Biden is the worst president our country has ever had,” Trump said at the rally, calling him “grossly incompetent.”
Trump joked that he looked at the crowd and asked Americans if they loved him or hated him, adding: “Our country is going to hell and we’re going to turn it around.”
“They said they don’t like you, but I love you,” Trump said, explaining that he loves his New York supporters, too. The crowd continued to chant “We love Trump!” over and over again.
“But most of all, New Yorkers have common sense, we have common sense. Old-fashioned American common sense is exactly what I want to bring back to the White House and what we’ve had for the last four years,” Trump said, noting that his administration has been “the greatest four years in the history of our country.”
“We rebuilt our military. We cut taxes — the biggest tax cuts in history, the biggest regulatory cuts in history. We defeated ISIS,” he said, explaining that if he were president, Russia would not have attacked Ukraine and Hamas would not have attacked Israel.
“I’m going to pick up the phone, I’m going to call your mayors, I’m going to call your governors and tell them I’m President Trump, I want to come back and help you. You have a Democratic governor and a Democratic mayor, and we’re going to work with them to take this state and this city to levels they’ve never seen before,” Trump told the crowd, who also chanted “Four more years!” during the rally.
“Once that bad Joe Biden is out, I will quickly rebuild the greatest economy in the history of the world. Look, we had the greatest economy in the history of history. … It doesn’t matter if you’re black or brown or white or whatever color you are. It doesn’t matter. We’re all Americans. And we come together as Americans,” he said to cheers, telling the crowd that unrestricted illegal immigration has hit black and Hispanic communities the hardest, “They’re losing their jobs, they’re losing their homes, they’re losing everything they have to lose.”
“They are the ones who are most affected by what’s going on, not just our schools, our parks, our hospitals, Joe Biden’s inflation,” Trump said, as the crowd chanted “Build the wall!”
