Crowd Yelling ‘Free Karmelo’ Attacks ‘The Smallest White Girl They Could Find,’ She Says

Main Witness in Karmelo Anthony Defense Falters Following Strong Testimony

A woman has alleged that she was assaulted by a group of female supporters of Carmelo Anthony at a bar in Texas on Sunday.

Sammy Lee reported that as she exited Whiskey Jay’s Bar in Longview, Texas, she encountered a crowd of girls she didn’t know, who were upset over the recent conviction of 19-year-old Carmelo Anthony. Anthony was sentenced to 35 years for stabbing Austin Metcalfe to death during a high school track event.

In a Facebook post, Lee shared, “As they jumped down, they were shouting, ‘Free Carmelo!’ They seemed to be looking for the smallest white girl around.” Her post included a photo showing injuries to her face.

She further explained, “I’ve never spoken to them or met them before. It totally caught me off guard.” Lee described her injuries, including blood coming from her head, and remarked, “This is really not okay!”

Authorities held a press conference regarding the vicious attack, stating that one woman, Kiarian Fuller, was arrested on suspicion of assault. Fuller is facing charges of assault causing bodily injury and is currently held on $20,000 bail as the investigation is ongoing.

In related news, Carmelo Anthony’s new legal team, consisting of six lawyers, announced they would handle his case as he prepares to appeal his murder conviction.

Anthony’s parents claimed in a statement that he was never presumed innocent, implying prejudgment following the verdict.

A 17-year-old witness indicated that Anthony had been asked to leave the opposing team’s tent multiple times. Tensions escalated when Metcalfe supposedly shoved him, which led to the stabbing. Another witness recounted that Anthony, upon confrontation, made remarks indicating he was not going to leave without a fight.
