Tips for Better Cruise Cabins
A regular cruise traveler has shared a straightforward booking technique that could help passengers land improved cabins.
Molly Finlon, 38, from Seattle, explained to Jam Press that her husband works as a marine engineer, allowing her to cruise for minimal cost. The expenses cover essentials like food and lodging while aboard.
Additionally, she serves as a guest presenter on a luxury cruise liner for several months each year.
Finlon has picked up insights about enhancing the travel experience for guests, especially regarding the timing and method of booking.
Her main piece of advice? Book your next cruise while already on your current voyage.
“When you book onboard with your future cruise consultant, they can provide valuable information and better cabin options,” she noted.
She also suggested talking to a cruise consultant in person and doing some research on the cruise line prior to booking.
According to her, different ships have diverse amenities, layouts, and onboard experiences.
“Every cruise line is unique, so utilizing YouTube, reading articles, and exploring social media can help you find what fits your preferences,” Finlon recommended.
She pointed out that many people book cruises without fully understanding the specific cruise company or what to expect.
Her views are influenced by her career in the cruise industry and the extensive time she has spent at sea.
“With constant travel and the excitement of exploring new destinations, there are also challenges,” she admitted.
Finlon has visited more than 100 countries since she began working on cruise ships in 2011, after realizing a traditional 9-to-5 job wasn’t suited for her.
“Each day offers a new location or adventure,” she shared. “You always have something to do, plus the chance to meet diverse people from around the globe.”
