Ohio Woman Discovers Hate Message on Starbucks Cup

An Ohio woman was taken aback on Sunday evening when she ordered drinks at Starbucks and found a hateful message scrawled on her cup.

Fall Perkins from Middletown, Ohio, made her way to a Starbucks located inside a Kroger to get a mint beverage. Upon receiving her order, she noticed the words “racist favorite drink” written next to her drink.

“It’s time for people to stop this nonsense,” she expressed in a conversation with Fox News Digital.

After addressing the issue with the manager, Perkins learned that the staff member responsible had admitted to writing the offensive message and was subsequently terminated. “If you’re doing something like this, I think most people would agree that you should be fired,” she remarked, emphasizing that such actions have consequences.

Perkins conveyed her appreciation for standing up against disrespect, stating, “You don’t have to agree on everything. We can oppose many things, but we need to respect one another.” She also acknowledged that even silence can hinder communication and growth.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a representative from Starbucks remarked, “Writing this on a cup is unacceptable. We have a clear policy against negative messages to foster a welcoming environment. This particular Starbucks is operated under a license by Kroger, and we are aware that this associate is no longer employed by them.”

Kroger confirmed the incident in an email, stating, “This behavior does not reflect Kroger’s values,” as highlighted by their spokesperson.

Perkins, who frequently visits Starbucks while traveling because it’s convenient, mentioned she’s reconsidering her future stops. “I won’t spend another penny at Starbucks, and I’ll make sure my family follows suit,” she concluded.
