What is your background?

According to WFXT, Principal Amanda Luizzi wrote in an email to parents: “Over the weekend, we were contacted by the director of Shaw’s Market with alarming information regarding an alarming trend involving middle school students using Shaw’s Market for half a day. “I was told that,” he said.

“We are seeing an increase in students engaging in disruptive behavior while visiting the store, including building ‘forts’ out of paper towels, riding horse-drawn carriages and motorized carts, knocking over displays, and even stealing merchandise,” the department said in an email. The number of students who do so is increasing.” These actions pose a risk to the students involved and Shaw’s customers. It also has a negative impact on the school community. ”

As reported by WFXT, Luizzi also asked parents to talk to their children: “I would like to encourage all families to partner with the school to ensure that Shaw’s, every business in the plaza, and the school… We ask that you talk to your children about the importance of respectful behavior.” Also, discuss with students the potential consequences of their behavior if this behavior continues. ”

A spokesperson for the grocery chain told the station that the students’ actions were also “having a negative impact” on shoppers. However, WFXT added that as of Tuesday, the Medford store had not banned students from entering the store.

The school would be expelled…The school’s responsibility for the children’s actions should end. Parents should be responsible for everything the school does. I demand full authority but accept zero responsibility.”Call the police. That’s their job. ”

Schools need to tell parents that their children will remain on campus for half the day until an adult picks them up.” (including unforeseen closures).” “It’s going to be a hassle for parents for the rest of the school year, but we’d like to see how quickly the kids bounce back.”

Perhaps parents will need to go to the store and clean up the damage their child has done. Oh yeah, no one is responsible for the actions of their children anymore, too bad. ”
