The Kansas City Police Department is currently awaiting the results of the post-mortem toxicology report to inform the investigation.

The three Chiefs fans were last seen alive on Jan. 7 at Willis' rental home on Northwest 83rd Terrace, watching a game between the Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers. was. A fifth man, who declined to be named, said all four were awake. And I was watching “Jeopardy” when I left the house around midnight.

Picerno said Willis moved out of his rental home “out of fear of retaliation” after all the media attention surrounding his friend's death. He also took time off from his job as a data scientist at IAVI, a nonprofit that develops vaccines for infectious diseases.

Since the men were found dead, their families have publicly accused Willis of being involved in their deaths.

”[David Harrington’s mother] “I'm both convinced that Jordan Willis was involved in this in some way,” John Harrington told FOX News Digital on Thursday. That doesn't make sense. I think he and his trio either learned something or saw something they shouldn't have seen. I have to get rid of you now.. ” Friends or not. ”

“Seriously, these were responsible men. How could they go into the backyard and all three of them freeze to death?” Johnson's mother, Norma Chester, told Fox News Digital. “What comes to mind is this guy wants to brag about how smart he is and how he's a scientist. My thinking is that he made something up and gave it to all three people. I don't think so. I know I'm just thinking, but how could this happen? ”

“I think the Jordan guy is on drugs.”[ged] Because they were bullying him. In a good way. . . But I think that's what happened,” Ricky Johnson Sr. told FOX News Digital.

Picerno said the accusations of drug use and addiction are “ridiculous.”

“Is he somehow responsible because he's a scientist? That's an opinion that's not based on fact,” the lawyer said.

“There are no allegations of animosity between Jordan and his three friends,” Picerno told Fox News Digital on Tuesday. “People like to speculate, but [but] No one called the police and said, “I'm scared of this Jordan guy.'' ”

Picerno said his client had been asleep for “a significant amount of time” in the 48 hours before his friend was found dead, stressing that he was working from home and had no reason to go outside. Picerno said their car was still parked outside, but it wasn't unusual for them to leave their cars at home.

Willis has two dogs, and Picerno said the animals were at Willis' father's home at the time.

The men's bodies were discovered after McGeeney's fiance, unable to contact Willis, sneaked around to the back of the house and broke into the house.

There, she found one of the men dead on the back porch of Willis' home. She called Kansas City police around 8:51 p.m., and officers found two other men dead in her backyard.

When asked for comment, McGeeney's fiance, April Mahoney, told Fox News Digital: “We have answered all of the detectives' questions and will continue to answer them.”

Willis answered the police door wearing boxer shorts and a glass of wine in his hand. The glass contained water, Picerno said.

Willis then gave police permission to enter his home without a warrant or an attorney present, Picerno said. Ross Nigro, an attorney representing Johnson's family, told Fox News Digital that a search warrant was executed two days later.

“He's a scientist, but is he somehow responsible? That's an opinion that's not based on facts.”

Kansas City police stressed that Willis is not suspected of any wrongdoing and no criminal charges have been filed against him.

“First and foremost, this case is 100% not being investigated as a homicide,” Kansas City Police Department Lt. Jake Becchina previously told FOX News Digital. “No arrests have been made. [or] Charges have been filed and no one is in custody. There is no particular threat or concern to the surrounding community at this time. The occupants of the home were cooperative with detectives the day the body was discovered. ”

Dr. Michael Baden told Fox News Digital on Thursday that he believes the three people overdosed on fentanyl or another drug that causes disorientation.

Because the man's body was found outdoors, Baden ruled out carbon monoxide, saying, “It would be some kind of drug that disorients people.” “Fentanyl drugs” It can cause disorientation and rapid loss of consciousness, similar to sleep.
