Dave & Buster’s to allow customers to bet on arcade games

(KTLA) – Dave and Buster customers will soon be able to bet $5 on arcade games like Skee-Ball and basketball.

The arcade company recently partnered with Lucra Sports, a gamification software company. The new betting feature is available to users over the age of 18 and is expected to debut in the coming months.

“We’re excited to work with Lukla to bring this exciting new gaming platform to our customers,” Simon Murray, Dave & Busters’ senior vice president of entertainment and attractions, told CNBC.

“This new partnership strengthens our commitment to providing our loyalty members with an unparalleled gaming experience in real-time and continuing to improve the customer experience through innovative, cutting-edge technology.”

according to CNBC, This new feature is not regulated like sports betting. Illegal in states such as California.

“We use real money contests and challenges,” said Dylan Madding, co-creator of the platform.

Details about how the new app feature will work have not been revealed, but many assume users will be betting against friends instead of at home.

For example, if someone loses, their friend will receive $5 instead of Dave & Buster’s winnings, which did not respond to KTLA’s request for comment.
