Dave Matthews Band Abruptly Pulls Out Of Wildfire Charity Concert

Dave Matthews and his band abruptly pulled out of the FireAid and MusiCares benefit concerts due to critical illness in the family.

The band made the sudden announcement Wednesday on its official Instagram page.

“Due to a critical illness in the family, Dave Matthews is unfortunately unable to perform at the FireAid and MusiCares benefits this week,” the band wrote. The shocking news came just one day before the star-studded FireAid concert, a music event created to aid relief efforts for the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The band was slated to perform with John Mayer for their first-ever live performance together.
