Dave Portnoy Issues Warning to Tom Brady

Dave Portnoy has something serious to say to Tom Brady, who many consider the greatest quarterback ever.

The legendary quarterback, with seven Super Bowl titles—six with the Patriots and one with the Buccaneers—has been spending significant time with Michael Rubin, the founder of Fanatics. Rumors suggest he might be preparing for a WWE appearance alongside Logan Paul.

Usually an ally of Brady, Portnoy is urging him to steer clear of Rubin. He expressed concern about the potential impact on Brady’s reputation.

Portnoy shared on social media, “Can someone please shake up Tom Brady and tell him to get as far away from Michael Rubin as possible and stop disrespecting his entire legacy?”

This comes after Brady had a dramatic encounter with Paul at Fanatics Fest over the weekend, which included a slap. Later, during the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain at MetLife Stadium, Brady and Paul exchanged gestures, with Rubin caught in the middle.

On Barstool’s “Wake Up Barstool,” Portnoy commented, “He’s becoming very lame. These superstars are so over the top that you don’t want to see them mixed in with all kinds of sleazy TikToks and Saudi flag football leagues. Everything about him seems disgusting to me.”

He further emphasized that Rubin is right at the center of this situation, warning that Rubin could tarnish some of the most respected figures in the industry.

Portnoy noted that Brady’s concerning behavior began with some unexpected remarks about the Patriots leading up to the 2026 Super Bowl.

Ultimately, Portnoy feels it’s all tied to Brady’s growing disdain for the Patriots. “If I had to defend this nonsense, this garbage, I’d be in a very dark place,” he added. “But thankfully, that coincided with him saying, ‘I don’t care about the Patriots.’”
