Dave Portnoy Loses His Temper After Antisemitic Sign Discovered in His Philadelphia Bar

Portnoy Responds to Anti-Semitic Incident at Barstool Location

Dave Portnoy, the creator of Barstool Sports, expressed his outrage during a two-hour response after discovering anti-Semitic signs at a Philadelphia bar owned by his company. Portnoy, who identifies as Jewish, held an urgent social media press conference on Sunday after a video surfaced showing a sign that read “f*ck the Jews” at the Bar Stool Sunsam Street Bar on Saturday.

Clearly upset, Portnoy indicated that he was treating the situation seriously and stated he would pursue action against those responsible. “I was just rocking with anger. It’s why emergency press conferences can take a while,” he said. Portnoy emphasized his determination, declaring, “I’m coming for your throat. I won’t stop until this is addressed. How can this happen in my bar?”

In his remarks, he questioned the current state of anti-Semitism, noting that while it’s been a persistent issue, its recent manifestations seem especially alarming. He expressed frustration, sharing personal connections to the community.

“Let’s put an end to this—it’s just ridiculous,” he concluded.
