The Kansas City Chiefs fell pretty meek at Super Bowl 2025, and Patriot Super Fan Dave Portnoy certainly won't allow them – and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes lives on this down.
“The emergency press conference is still in the third quarter, but the Chiefs were embarrassing nationwide,” Portnoy, who founded Barstool Sports, said in a video posted on social media. “It was absolutely destroyed by the Eagles. Patrick Mahomes looks like a JV quarterback.”
Mahomes looked like his shell in the Chiefs' 40-22 defeat to the Eagles on Sunday, as his offensive line completely fell apart and the most collapsed in one game of his NFL career.
Portnoy took advantage of Sunday's losses to bring home his view that Mahomes and these chiefs cannot be compared to Tom Brady's dynasty patriots.

“Now it's not taken away from the fact that they've got three titles. It stops the conversation… People who compare the dynasty of New England with the dynasty of chiefs, they're in the same field It doesn't even belong to,” Portnoy said.
“The chief will never defeat a Patriot dynasty, not a million years. Patrick Mahomes is not Tom Brady. Tom Brady has vented himself what Patrick Mahomes just did. No. And I know that Patrick Mahomes doesn't like bar stools, but that's not the reason. He was awful. He couldn't get up, a scary throw. No protection, no problem. Brady would have found a way.”
Portnoy has previously been upset that Mahomes had set up an interview with the “Bussin 'With Boys” podcast hosted by Ex-Nflers Taylor Lewan and Will Compton during the Super Bowl week after their departure from Barstool. I did.
Portnoy added that patriots “do not be ashamed of that big games so far.” They've never been blown that way in the Super Bowl. ”
Brady and the Patriots lost three Super Bowls with a total of 15 points.
The current ring count stands seven Brady, including a victory over the Buccaneers' Super Bowl chief.
Portnoy hopes the Chief will waving a white flag in this debate after Sunday's embarrassing performance spent the opportunity to become the first three-peat team during the Super Bowl era.
Mahomes finished with 257 passing yards and three touchdowns along with two interceptions on Sunday, but that stat sheet is a bit misleading.
Mahomes completed 6 of 14 passes for Carere-Worst 33 passing yards in the second half, 24-0, and threw two interceptions, including a crucial pick six in the second quarter.
The three-time Super Bowl MVP went 3-2 in the Super Bowl in his career, but the two losses have totaled 40 points.
