According to Pew Research Center Surveythe recent decline in the number of Americans identified as Christians has been significantly levelled, with about six in ten people saying that Jesus is God. As we enter the Lenten season, it is worth considering how this change occurred and how we can develop trends.

The period between Ash Wednesday and Easter is when Christians sacrifice their fasting and charity sacrifices in hopes of celebrating their sinfulness and celebrating the resurrection of Christ, but this year, more than ever, is also an opportunity to strengthen and expand faith.

New polls show that the decline of Christianity is “leveled” in America

One of the key drivers of this stabilization of American Christianity is the youth. After a sudden decades of decline in Christian identity and church attendance from one generation to the next, Pew now shows a welcome change that people born between 2000 and 2006 are as religious and as welcome as those born in the 90s.

More anecdotes, across the country, Christians say that congregations are growing, and many of them depend on young followers and young Christian families.

It turns out that the cool priest playing the guitar and taking the main side of the commitment ceremony was in the wrong direction.

Four Ways to Observe the Lent Season

but why? What brings so many people back to folding? One important reason is that American Christianity is becoming more and more common each year.

Throughout much of this century, Christianity was considered white, straight or manly, part of the dominant privileged culture, prompting them to sit in the shadows while “alienated” had the opportunity to suck on the sun.

However, in recent years, prayer apps such as Harrow and Christian-themed programming on our screens, Rittany has brought the message of Christ back to the public spotlight. Meanwhile, across the nation, there are more calls for prayers at schools and posts of 10 commandments to public spaces.

In addition to loud and proud American Christian celebrations, younger generations may want deeper meaning in their lives than offered through Tick Tok, X, or AI.

Technology has proven that these young Americans are more isolated, depressed and physically less social. The church can fix all these issues. In fact, it's like the overall point of the church.

And it is not just technology that has an inhuman influence on our youth, but also love, religion in itself, which requires us to identify ourselves not as children of God, but as a collection of physical identity markers that all align with the hierarchy of oppression.

Christianity in America has stopped bleeding, and while it is a very good start, faith must grow to heal our harsh divisions in order to return our country to the highly trustworthy society we once were.

For those who accept Christ, there is only one identity that everything else flows. It is to be Jesus' follower and accept His divinity.

In St. Paul's letter to the Philippians, he urges us to “Let all men of your moderation, the Lord is at hand.” It's a curious, almost contradictory command. After all, how do you show off your moderation? He seems to be bragging about his humility.

However, public displays of faith need not be exaggerated. All Christians are asked to spread the good news. This means inviting friends to church, wearing crosses, or praying before meals in public restaurants.

America has a long history of religious revivals, and although it's probably too early to say we're experiencing it now, the foundation for it is built every day.

This lending, and the opportunity for Christians in the future, is to declare that American values born from Western values are indeed Christian values. So until recently we call it Christendom.

Lent is, first and foremost, an opportunity to reflect our most tragic mistakes, but with a commitment to doing better, rather than self-compassion, we spend more of our lives in God's service and less of ourselves serving.

That is my prayer, and so I ask you for forgiveness of my brothers and sisters, and I wish you all meaningful spiritual journey until the Easter morning when he resurrects.
