Former Fulton County Prosecutor Nathan Wade told “Good Morning America” Monday that former President Donald Trump’s Georgia election interference case will have a “day of reckoning.”
Wade was asked by a judge to be removed from the case because of his relationship with District Attorney Fani Willis.
“One aspect Mr. Wade was not prepared for was the intense public scrutiny and harassment he said he faced,” said reporter Lindsey Davis. Didn’t he realize that his life was going to be under the microscope when he filed the lawsuit? ”
Wade said, “I never thought my life would be in danger. I have no problem with the microscope. The truth is, the worst thing you can find out is if I had an affair with someone or just happened to It was the fact that I was going through a divorce. It’s okay. I have nothing to hide.”
Davis said, “Some of the attacks are coming from the former president himself. Some of you are saying, ‘Given the relationship between Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, you have to question the credibility of this case.’ Is there any part of you that you regret giving him that side of you?”
Wade said: “So, Mr. Davis, I accept that this relationship didn’t happen at the ideal time, but I don’t think what happened over the course of the relationship is enough of a relationship that it should be questioned. ” The contents of the indictment relate to the evidence that has come to light and may or may not be presented at trial. ”
He added, “The day will come when the Fulton County Jury in Fulton County, Georgia will make that decision.”
