DC US attorney investigates Democrats Schumer and Garcia over alleged ‘threats against public officials’ 

The Washington, DC U.S. Lawyers' Office has announced that Senate Minority Leaders Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) have “threats to civil servants” to the highest court justice and Elon Musk. We have started an investigation into the allegations. .

Garcia, who has been in the House since 2023, was accused of threatening Doge Chief Musk in an interim DC US lawyer, Ed Martin, in a CNN interview earlier this month.

Martin argued that Schumer's comments were made “in a way that many people found threatening.”

The interim US lawyer also asked Schumer to “clearly” his comments.

Schumer's aide responded to Martin on February 6, saying the senator's comments were “not a threat to physically injure people.”

The aide also introduced Schumer's comments from the Senate floor to the prosecutor the day after the rally.

“Now I shouldn't have used the words I used yesterday,” Schumer said on March 5, 2020. “They didn't come out the way I intended.”

“My point was that if the Supreme Court strips women of choice along with newly confirmed justice, then there will be a political outcome – political outcome for President Trump and Senate Republicans,” he said. I added.

Garcia and representatives from the DC US Lawyer's Office did not immediately respond to a post office request for comment.

A spokesman for Schumer said, “Sen. Schumer's Office received the original letter dated January 21, 2025 on February 4, 2025, and responded to the survey on February 6, 2025.”

In X's post, Garcia showed that despite the letter he “doesn't silence.”

“So, if you criticize Elon Musk, Trump's DOJ will send you this letter,” Garcia wrote. “Members of Congress must have the right to be strong against the Trump administration.”
