A Delta Airlines employee struck a passenger multiple times with a beverage cart during a flight to New York, causing “severe injuries,” a woman claims in a lawsuit.
Gail Hamilton, a Florida resident, said in documents filed in Manhattan federal court that she was sitting in an aisle seat on Delta Flight 263 from Paris to John F. Kennedy on June 21, 2022, when a flight attendant “suddenly” struck her “multiple times with a cart loaded with luggage,” injuring her right shoulder.
Hamilton, The lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages, alleges that Delta and unidentified employees were negligent in failing to properly train employees and in failing to safely maneuver carts in the aisles of planes.
Hamilton’s lawyer and a Delta spokesman declined to comment.
