Democrat Amy Klobuchar Seemingly Could Not Remember Price of Eggs in Her Home State

Anti-Trump Democrat, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), has apparently been unable to remember what the price of the egg was in her hometown, despite constant attention to the high costs of the egg.

New York Times Interview On her claims about raising the price of eggs and using it to suggest that President Trump has used it to fail, despite ramping up prices for more than four years and ramping inflation under the Biden administration.

The era Asked her about this message, which appears to be primarily egg-centric, I asked a very simple question: “What did you pay for a dozen or so eggs in Minnesota?”

Klobuchar did not answer the question immediately. Instead, she said, “You'll have to check at the local grocery store.”

“I got some last week so I don't want to give you the wrong figure,” she insisted. “But I know they definitely went up.”

The era It was then noted that Klobuchar inserted later in the conversation, suddenly offering the exact price of the egg in her condition in the interview.

“There's a difference, so there's a reason I've been waiting for this. In Minnesota, it's about $8.50, which, in my memory, is two or three times more than last summer or last year,” she said.

“And with huge food [in Washington]it's $9. I go to three different grocery stores and I always shop on my own,” she added.

It remains unclear why clobuchar (now focusing on the issue of egg prices suddenly) could not immediately offer the price of her hometown eggs when asked.

The era He also pointed out that egg prices are rising due to the avian flu and asked the senator if he would hold Trump accountable.

“I take responsibility for the promises he made, and the eggs aren't the only thing that matters here,” Klobuchar replied vaguely.

“If it's one problem, that's not the problem. The problem is housing, childcare. I don't think anyone thought he would turn it around in one day, but he didn't move to turn it around,” she insisted. “No. Zero. And it's a much bigger picture, and the eggs represent the bigger picture.”

The Biden administration's inflation policy has helped prices rise over the past four years, and in recent months, the avian flu has thrown another wrench in price.

USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins told Breitbart News this month that he is doing everything he can to reduce prices, including egg costs.

“My first briefing. I think I was voted around noon yesterday. I was sworn in about three photos, took a few photos and quickly explained the USDA team and the prices of bird flu and eggs,” Rollins told Breitbart News.

“I think there were about eight people in my office at USDA. I've already spoken to the president about it. I've spoken to my NEC White House counterpart and Kevin Hassett, and I'm not ready to announce anything yet, but I'm going to be more specific next week,” she said.

“Now under four years of Trump, they've returned to '17, '18, '19 and '20. At least in recent history, we had some of the lowest prices on record this year,” she added.

This week, Rollins said the USDA is “developing plans to deal directly with the bird flu.”

But I think it's really important for everyone to realize that this issue not only happened overnight, but it takes a little time to lap your arm. Vaccinations will continue to be seen and reviewed. Only a handful of countries around the world use vaccinations on chickens for chickens that actually consume eggs.

She added that this includes importing eggs.

“We're beginning to import. I just met Ag. Commissioner of Texas Sid Miller (R), he informed me that they are working to import some eggs from the Turkish country. …So, I think there are a few imports to deal with the shortage soon,” she explained.

“But in the end, we'll get an arm around this. Hopefully we'll solve the bird flu, reduce the cost of input, unregulated, and finally, again, not just because the eggs are so expensive, but there are countless reasons why we're trying to solve it every day,” Rollins added.
