Democratic leaders have praised President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, calling it a “selfless” move that will protect his legacy.
As Breitbart News reported on Sunday, Joe Biden made a historic decision not seen since Democrat Lyndon Baines Johnson refused to seek reelection in 1968.
“Serving as your president has been the honor of my life,” Biden said in a statement. “While I intended to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and our country that I step down and focus solely on fulfilling the duties of my presidency for the remainder of my term.”
