Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio) was captured on video walking through Detroit Metro Airport and snatching a cellphone from a man who was asking if President Joe Biden should resign.
“Excuse me, Congresswoman, should Joe Biden resign?” the man asks the longtime Democratic congresswoman, on the recording.
The National Republican Congressional Committee posted the video.

Kaptur ignored the question and had the man repeat it.
When she continued to ignore him, he asked, “Why is the White House lying about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline?”
It was at that moment that the 21st-term representative appeared to lose his cool.
Kaptur, 78, looks at the man’s camera, then grabs his phone, but the video cuts off.
“Congressman, why did you take my phone like that?” the man asked as he began recording again.
A female passerby chimed in off camera: “She’s rude and disrespectful and clearly doesn’t care about people.”
“That’s why she’s angry,” the woman added.
Finally, Kaptur addressed the man with a series of questions.
“What is your name?” the councilwoman asked. “Where do you live?”
She circled him, repeatedly asking him where he lived.
“I don’t need to give you that information,” the man replied, to which Kaptur replied, “Then I won’t answer you.”
When the man asked again, “Congresswoman, I just want to know if Joe Biden should resign,” she again tried to walk away.
“No,” she answered.
The argument continued, with Kaptur asking the questioner why he was “reading questions off that sheet of paper” and asking “who do you belong to?”
“I don’t belong to anyone,” the man replied. “I just want to ask you some questions.”
“They own you,” Kaptur said before leaving the airport.
Kaptur camp spokesperson Said “It’s one thing to ask questions, but quite another for an unidentified stranger to force a camera into a female lawmaker’s private space,” Fox News reported.
“The man has not yet revealed his identity or organizational affiliation,” the spokesperson continued. “Politics aside, Congressman Kaptur is committed to making further transformative federal investments in Northwest Ohio.”
Another Kaptur employee became embroiled in controversy after bragging that he had received a “phone call” saying his student loan payments had been forgiven.
Ben Kamens, Kaptur’s public relations director, Posts “Instead of paying it back, I would be happy for the government to cancel it,” he told X in June.
“According to ReguiStorm, this man earned more than $80,000 in taxpayer pay as a government employee last year, and now he’s bragging about making those same taxpayers pay another $8,000 for loans he refused to repay,” Federalist co-founder Sean Davis wrote.

After receiving a lot of backlash, Kamens made his account private.
“Imagine the plumber, the HVAC technician, the mechanic, the Walmart employee, the janitor, the personal support worker who didn’t go to college, didn’t take on debt, and just decided to work hard,” said political commentator Ari Goldkind.

Spectator reporter Matthew Foldy later confronted Mr Kamens outside Kaptur’s office, who was trying to avoid coverage by covering his head with a hoodie.
