White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt accused Democrats of acting like a “child” during President Donald Trump's joint session in Congress on Tuesday.
“The Democrats' actions last night were totally dishonorable and showed how badly they are in contact with the American public,” Leavitt told reporters at a White House press conference Wednesday. “It was the most shameful moment in the history of the President's speech, its beautiful room, and what appears to be a unified moment for our nation.”
Democrats began Trump as Boo when they began their speeches, urging Republicans to respond in turn by chanting “America.” Rep. D-Texas Al Greene got particularly rough during his speech and began screaming his wand at Trump. Due to Green's confusion, R-La. House Speaker Mike Johnson urged the arm sergeant to direct Green to be removed from the address.

Additionally, Leavitt called on Democrats for not supporting “everyday Americans” who attended Trump's speech, including DJ Daniel, a 13-year-old boy who survived cancer. Trump respected Daniel on Tuesday, officially vowed him as a member of the Secret Service and received a standing ovation from most people in the crowd, but not all Democrats joined in to celebrate Daniel.
Additionally, Leavitt argued that Democrats ignored Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungarei's mother.
“Last night was a very clear moment for our country,” Leavitt said. “The Democrats expose themselves as a crazy party and hate the party who wants to put America at the end. They have allowed their Trump Mad Syndrome to stop them from celebrating America and our people.
Trump told members of Congress on Tuesday that his administration will work to “take America's fate into our own hands,” and promised that “this will be our biggest era” as he fights to build the most freest civilization.

Trump also vowed to reduce inflation costs and “fight war” in drug cartels. As a result, he urged lawmakers on Tuesday to step up funding for border security and to put forward bills for deportation as his administration “started the most drastic border and immigration crackdown in American history.”
Meanwhile, Republicans are working to punish Democrats for their actions Tuesday. For example, R-Texas Rep. Troy Nehls is leading efforts to file a denial resolution against Greene for “deliberately destroying the joint session,” “being rebellious,” and “provoking disgust to the US Congress,” according to a draft text read by Fox News Digital.

However, Green is ready to face the consequences of his actions.
Green said Tuesday, according to a White House Pool report. “I didn't tell anyone, don't punish me. I said I'd accept the punishment.”
