Democrats denounce Trump’s gilded vision of Gaza: ‘Despicable’

House Democrats are assaulting President Trump this week about his vision of turning the Gaza Strip into a gorgeous playground.

Lawmakers said Trump Promoting fake videosIt portrayed postwar Gaza as a destination for a gorgeous resort, not only lightly meant the presidency, but also complicated peace negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians.

“I am a very big supporter of Israel and I think Israel has all the rights and responsibility to protect itself. But when the president goes and does something like that – it's sleazy. It's really. It makes things more difficult on earth…for anyone.”

“They did what really existed under the character and nature of the presidency.”

Rep. Greg Meeks (NY), a senior Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, was also believed.

“I can't believe the US president can put something on their official terms. [social media account] On top of that. And are we taking the guy seriously? ” Meeks said. “It's absolutely ridiculous and shaming to me, and anyone who understands history thinks it. It understands the complexities of trying to achieve true peace in the Middle East.”

Meeks pointed to Trump's vision for Gaza. The video shows gorgeous yachts dancing on the beach under a shower of money, Trump Hotel and Elon Musk, which mainly exclude the major components of the region.

“That's nonsense,” he said. “We don't consider that the Jews postponed their land and moved forever. [and] The idea is not to do the same to the Palestinians, but to separate them from their land.

“The idea is that we have two state solutions that allow two people to live side by side.”

Pushbacks will come according to the video, PostedLate Tuesday night, I imagined one version of “What's Next” in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

The area was destroyed by Israeli forces seeking to eliminate Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023 following the group's fatal attack on Israel.

In one scene, the “Trump Gaza” hotel dominates the screen. In the other, Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are depicted sunbathing on the beach and holding a tropical drink.

Trump's video promotion comes when he repeatedly floats US ideas, assuming control of Gaza, a Palestinian territory along the Mediterranean Mediterranean where Israel has been occupied for decades.

Earlier this month, in collaboration with Netanyahu at the White House, Trump dropped a postwar Gaza bomb proposal. Following them, he said the United States will assume ownership of war-torn territory and restructure it with a massive “economic development” project.

“This was not a downplayed decision,” Trump said at the time. “Everyone I've spoken about love the idea that America owns the land and develops and creates thousands of jobs with grandeur.”

Apart from that, Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and real estate developer; I'm grievingThe Palestinians of Gaza have not developed their “waterfront property” – the land he rated potentially “very valuable”.

Trump's proposal was cheered by Netanyahu and members of his far-right administration. He opposes the design of two provinces that rely heavily on preserving Gaza and the West Bank as the core of the proposed Palestinian state.

But Trump's position has been criticised by Democrats and even Republicans who have expressed concern that Western takeovers would prevent possible two-state plans.

House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries (DN.Y.) was among those critics. On Wednesday, Jeffries said he had never seen a new Gaza video but had amplified his support for the creation of a Palestinian state as the best path to lasting peace in the region.

“My support remains solid and determined to the two states' solution,” Jeffries said. “Let's watch the video. I'll comment more.”
