Military commander Mohammed Diyev has committed “war crimes and crimes against humanity” since the Israeli-Hamas war began on October 7.
“Israel is not a member of the ICC, so the ICC has no jurisdiction. The decision to request an arrest warrant is political, not legal,” Torres said in a statement. “This is not justice, but retribution against Israel for its original sin of existing as a Jewish state and its subsequent sin of defending itself during the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
“Today’s decision effectively makes it a crime for a state like Israel to defend itself against an enemy clever enough to incorporate civilians, something Hamas has never seen before in its history of war.” “It’s like I’ve done a lot of things,” he continued.

“But with October 7th and Hamas’ unprecedented militarization of its civilian population and infrastructure, there will be no war in Gaza and no humanitarian crisis among Gazans,” Torres said. “And what we see happening in Gaza, the West Bank, and all of Palestine is widespread, and as we have seen this morning with both Sinwar and Netanyahu as well as the ICC designations, this is what is happening. “There are things happening that shouldn’t happen with U.S. resources,” she added.
