Democrats Lean on Aging Obama-Era Hollywood Celebrities on Final Night of DNC

The Democratic National Convention climaxed with a flurry of Hollywood celebrities coming out to celebrate the coronation of the party’s presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, the blend of establishment and star power that party elites have relied on to give themselves an aura of glamour and likeability.

A star-studded gathering at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday, including the Chicks (formerly the Dixie Chicks), Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington and D.L. Hughley, brought hyper-focus to Kamala Harris’ race and gender and further insults aimed at former President Donald Trump.

Pink also performed in what many expected to be a huge success, but the left-wing pop star, who has been a peddler of fake news on behalf of the Democratic establishment, instead sang a short, understated rendition of “What About Us” with her daughter Willow.

The real star on Thursday was the complete absence of Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, both of whom were rumored to be performing but ultimately failed to show up.

Democrats kept celebrity attendance relatively low for the first three days of this year’s convention, worried that too many stars would make Kamala Harris seem elitist at a time when voters are being battered by unprecedented increases in consumer prices brought about by her economic policies, including trillions of dollars in new government spending.

But the party fully embraced its celebrity addiction on Thursday, with stars parading on stage in honour of its new leader, who did not receive a single vote from the party in the primary election.

The group, formerly known as the Dixie Chicks, performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” before deciding to drop the word “Dixie” to appease the woke cancel crowd.

The Democratic Party’s choice of the Chicks to sing the national anthem has been seen by many as ironic or even offensive. In 2003, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks slammed country singer Toby Keith for his hit single “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” calling the song and, by implication, its fans “ignorant.”

Pink took the stage with her daughter Willow and performed “What About Us.”

As Breitbart News reported, ABC scandal Star Kerry Washington took to the stage on Thursday to teach Americans how to pronounce “Kamala” Harris, but this was a rather futile exercise since Harris herself pronounces her first name in multiple ways.

“Some people struggle, or pretend to struggle, to pronounce the president’s name correctly. I understand confusion, but I don’t understand disrespect. So tonight we’re going to help everyone get it right, and helping me are some very special guests,” she said.

Washington then asked Kamala’s nieces to stay behind and instructed the crowd on how to pronounce Kamala’s name (“comma” followed by “ra”).

The actress, while highlighting her humble roots, scandal Co-star Tony Goldwyn (scion of the powerful and wealthy Goldwyn family of Hollywood) leads the competition, shouting, “If we fight, we will win!”

A-B-C Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria returned to the Democratic National Convention on Thursday after co-hosting the last party convention in 2020. The actress praised Kamala Harris and claimed she came from a poor family, but failed to mention that the candidate was born to parents who were elite university professors and grew up in an upscale neighborhood in Montreal, Canada.

She also led the rally with a newly coined, feminist, Spanish-English slogan: “si se puede,” or “we can do it.”

Actor and comedian D.L. Hughley took to the stage on Thursday to attack former President Donald Trump, but never mentioned Kamala Harris’ accomplishments since coming to power in 2020.
