To be honest, the Democratic Party has gone off track.
In the late 1990s, President Bill Clinton had approval ratings in the 1970s because he supported a form of centrist progressivism. It meant finding a vital center where the party aimed to reach those in need while also demanding that people take responsibility for their actions. That meant adopting policies like Pell grants that required B averages or work requirements for benefits and balanced budgets. The economy soared.
However, the left resisted these policies, gradually regaining power, especially during President Barack Obama's second term, and eventually taking over the leadership of the Biden administration. The Sanders-Biden group, combined with a number of Obama staffers in key positions, sent the party into uncharted waters.

The border was left open while disingenuously claiming that it was safe. Millions of immigrants, including murderers and gang members, entered the country without screening.

Culture wars have elevated criminals to victims, gender ideology and forced pronouns have dominated policy, religion has taken a backseat, and identity has become more important than individual character in rewarding success. The American people were stunned.
Through TikTok, young people have access to a steady diet of all this, and scholars have justified it, even if it goes against common sense.

Even foreign policy was upended as friendly allies were quickly abandoned in the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that marked a turning point in Biden's presidency. Iran receives billions of dollars used to spread terrorism, and Israel continues to be detained and punished while no red lines have been drawn to release the hostages or face the consequences. Ta. And hundreds of billions of dollars were spent on the Ukraine war without any serious diplomatic activity or even capacity.
And freedom of speech was equated with violence. Tech companies were used to introduce voice codes to deflect criticism of the administration's policies. This denigration of a core American value, the First Amendment, is another example of how far the party has strayed from the most fundamental American values.

All the while, the president was pretending that Hunter Biden's laptop was fake, when in fact it was being used to extort $20 million from various foreign interests with the apparent cooperation of President Joe Biden. Revealed the plan. President Biden's denial was as bogus as his idea of a second term bid.

As a farewell to the president's injustices, Biden pardoned his son for crimes such as tax evasion, then commuted the sentences of 37 murderers who committed the most heinous crimes.
Yes, the Democratic Party needs a reset. It's time to press that button.
