The answer to that question is yes, Mike Johnston will likely go to jail if he opposes the Trump administration's mass deportation plan.
But Johnston seems to be OK with that.
Recently articleBlaze Media national correspondent Julio Rosas outlined Johnston's plan to resist mass deportation, even if it means going to prison.
When asked about the possibility of imprisonment, he replied, “I'm not afraid of it.”
Rosas is currently appearing on Blaze News Tonight with Jill Savage to reveal how far-left Democrats intend to defy the will of the people when it comes to illegal immigration.
Rosas said Democrats may act in shock and fear over mass deportations, but they know this is what happens when an administration opens the border for years and creates a border crisis. I say I should know.
From financial stress to human trafficking to immigrant gangs, mass deportation is the only logical solution, yet Democrats will still protect those who broke the laws who were brought here at the expense of their own people. I intend to.
It was this very mentality that caused the deep blue cities to lean toward Trump during the election.
And the shift from blue to red may accelerate even further as their leaders continue down the same path of turning Americans into second-class citizens behind illegal immigration.
“If they want to continue doing this, that's fine, but they will continue to do so at their peril in the next election,” Rosas said.
But in the meantime another kind of danger awaits them, his name is Tom Homan.
“[Homan] It just announced that states that don't comply with the federal mass deportation plan could lose federal funding. Do you think that will happen? Do you think these states are going to go head-to-head with the federal government on this?'' asks Blaze News Editor-in-Chief Matthew Peterson.
The answer to that is probably yes. Mr. Johnston threatened to send local police to county lines to prevent federal authorities from carrying out mass deportations in the Denver area.
If he gets this right, he'll be facing off against Homan, who Rosas says is “a very serious person.”
“As someone who knows Tom, he's been chomping at the bit for years on this,” he told Jill and Peterson. “If Democratic leaders and cities actually want to go the extra mile and disrupt their efforts… [mass deportations]you're doing it to a guy named Tom Homan, and that's someone I very much welcome, very Seriously. ”
