Deputies capture large 6-foot alligator in homeowner's yard and put it in their vehicle.

So, here’s a wild story from Florida!

A video making the rounds shows deputies wrangling a feisty crocodile right in someone’s yard. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a 6-foot alligator lurking by a front door, and, well, you can guess the rest.

The giant creature tried to evade capture, darting behind bushes and attempting to escape to the backyard, all caught on film.

Two officers, equipped with some improvised lassos, located the gator and one officer decided to lay low in the grass, successfully looping the lasso around its neck. The gator, understandably, was not too thrilled and let out a squeal, contemplating its next move.

In the footage, the alligator even went for a dramatic death roll, kicking up dirt as it tried to intimidate the officer—kind of like a sulking dog, really.

The officer managing the situation managed to pin the gator down, using his weight to keep it in place. Meanwhile, the other officer taped the gator’s mouth shut—safety first, I suppose!

Eventually, these two brave deputies loaded the alligator into the back of their patrol car, treating it like any other suspect, while keeping the homeowner informed and somewhat amused.

The Sheriff’s Office later mentioned on Facebook that they received a call from a woman about an alligator on her porch. They’ve had their share of calls like this—it’s, you know, just another day in Florida!

Alligators are pretty common in the state, especially in swampy areas. Just last month, officials dealt with a much smaller gator, and it was almost touch-and-go as it squeezed into a police cruiser.

And let’s not forget the dog owner who had to intervene when a crocodile got too close for comfort to her puppy. It’s a wild world out there!
