Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Engagement Details Revealed
While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have officially announced their engagement on Tuesday afternoon, Ed Kelce—Travis’s father—shared some earlier details about the proposal during an interview with a Cleveland TV station. He revealed that his son had proposed around two weeks ago. A romantic photo on Swift’s Instagram showed Travis down on one knee amid a beautiful garden setting.
According to Ed Kelce, Travis had been planning to wait until that week to pop the question, but it seems there were some nerves involved. He was concerned that Taylor might be feeling a bit apprehensive about it. Ed encouraged his son to choose a meaningful place, saying, “You can do it on the side of the road, but make it special when you’re on one knee.”
The engagement took place in the garden of the Summit in Lee, Missouri. Ed described the scene when Travis suggested they go out for dinner and have a little wine first. Then, at that perfect moment, he asked Taylor to marry him. It was all pretty beautiful, he mentioned, and they even FaceTimed with family right afterward to share the exciting news.
Interestingly, Ed was at a Philadelphia Eagles practice when he received the call about the engagement. It seems he was quite pleased to hear from them, not to mention excited about their relationship, which has been the talk of the NFL season ever since they were spotted together at Arrowhead Stadium supporting Travis during a game against the Chicago Bears. Since then, Taylor has been a familiar face at Kansas City games, even attending to watch the Chiefs vie for the Super Bowl title.
As the season unfolds, it’s likely that we’ll see her back at Arrowhead cheering for the Chiefs as they aim to make another championship run.
