Homeland Security Director Christie Nom announced a partnership With the Housing and Urban Development Bureau to end federally funded housing for illegal aliens.
Noem has been released video Signing the partnership between herself and HUD Secretary Scott Turner to ensure that federal funds for the housing go to American citizens first.
“If you're an illegal immigrant, you should leave now. The gravy train is over.”
“It should be used for the benefit of American citizens, for the benefit of American citizens, especially when it is as imminent as our country's housing crisis,” Turner said in a statement.
The agreement assigns full-time staff members from HUD, which promotes data sharing, to ensure that taxpayer-funded housing programs do not benefit illegal foreigners.
“The Biden administration has prioritized illegal aliens over our own citizens, including funding by illegal alien taxpayers at the expense of Americans. No better,” read Noem's statement.
“The whole government will work together to identify abuse and public interest exploitation and ensure that people in this country are not subject to illegally liability for federal benefits and other financial incentives,” she added. “If you're an illegal immigrant, you should leave now. The gravy train is over.”
Turner said the order was partially made to deal with the affordability crisis for U.S. housing.
“Americans no longer take back seats to illegal aliens,” he added.
In November, the CEO of the Zillow Real Estate site confirmed there is likely a link between a historic number of illegal aliens in the United States and the lack of affordable housing.
