James O’Keefe has done it again.
In his latest undercover investigation with his organization, O’Keefe Media Group, the investigative journalist confirmed the allegations that Disney is “woke.”
The group captured on camera Disney executives admitting that the company prioritizes skin color over ability when it comes to hiring employees.
“Certainly, there were times when there was no way we could have hired a white male for this job,” Michael Giordano, an executive, senior vice president and team leader at 20th Television, told one of the OMG investigators.
“You just didn’t say it?” the undercover reporter asked Giordano.
“Sometimes people say that,” Giordano acknowledged, explaining that the refrain is, “There’s no way we could hire a white guy for this role.”
Giordano also told the undercover reporter that he would likely not be promoted because he was perceived as a white male.
“To Disney, I’m a white male, and at this point they don’t want to promote white males,” he said.
After the report was made public, Giordano was fired.
Lauren Chen isn’t shocked that Disney got caught.
“For a long time, people like me have looked at Disney and wondered, if they care about diversity and they’re so woke, why don’t they have diverse characters and at least make well-written, well-crafted shows?” Chen said.
“I think it’s pretty clear here that the reason they’re not at least being mindful is because they prioritize skin color when it comes to the people who are producing their shows, writing their movies, running their companies,” she added.
Clearly there are talented writers of color, but from a demographic standpoint, there aren’t enough of them to hire only people of color.
“They have to promote people who probably aren’t as good as they could be just because they like the way they look,” Chen said.
