A longtime employee of California theme park Disneyland has died just two days after falling from a golf cart backstage at the park.
Bonnie Mavis Lear, 60, died from injuries sustained in the fall Friday, according to the Orange County coroner.
Anaheim Police said in a press release that officers were called to the scene of an accident behind the park’s scenes on Wednesday around 11:30 p.m.

Leah was taken to a nearby hospital but died from her injuries two days later.

The 60-year-old worked at Disneyland Resort for 24 years, supporting member services for the theme park’s exclusive private dining club, Club 33.

In a statement to City News Service, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said the company was “heartbroken” by her death.

“We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnie and our deepest condolences go out to all who cared for her,” Potrock said. “We are focused on supporting her family and cast members through this tragic event and ensuring they have the resources they need.”
