Disruptive left-wing activists have Uyghur ‘blood’ on their hands, Sen. Hawley says: ‘China-funded liars and racists’

Following a recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on stemming the rise in hate crimes and anti-Semitism in the country, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) was surrounded by members of the left-wing activist group Code Pink.

According to the group, WebsiteIt is a “women-led grassroots” anti-war organization founded in 2002.

“You all have Uighur blood on your hands.”

Video shared by Daily Caller News Foundation Members of the group were photographed gathering around Hawley as he left Tuesday's hearing.

Hawley slammed the activists for the group's ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

“You are being funded by Chinese money,” he told them.

“Who is funding you?” one protester asked.

“It's not China,” Hawley said.

“AIPAC [American Israel Public Affairs Committee]”The pro-Israel lobby?” the protester continued.

“There it is, anti-Semitism,” Hawley responded.

“You are run by Chinese money,” the senator continued. “You all have Uighur blood on your hands.”

Hawley called the protesters a “disgrace.”

“It's an honor to be challenged by you horrible people,” he added. “You're Chinese-funded liars and racists. It's an honor to stand up to you.”

Earlier this year, the same group confronted Hawley at a rally calling for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas.

In response to the confrontation, the senator said: Fox News“Code Pink is a group of protesters funded by the Chinese Communist Party. Their money comes from China. It is laundered through a number of dark money groups and then passed on to Code Pink.”

“People who don't even acknowledge that Uighurs are being held in concentration camps and are saying Israel is a terrorist state? Give me a break,” Hawley said, calling the activists “scary scams”.

An oversight investigation by the House Natural Resources Committee last year alleged that Code Pink had ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
