Disturbing information revealed in the case of a woman from San Francisco killed by a homeless man

Residents near Jessica Sanchez Landaverde’s home in San Francisco reported hearing screams as she struggled for her life, yet no one dialed 911 for several hours.

Left alone with a brutal intruder, she was ultimately strangled and found in a pool of blood on the morning of November 23, according to distressing new court documents.

Prosecutors provided a troubling timeline prior to the arraignment of Cassidy Wyatt Allen, a 45-year-old man with a lengthy criminal history, who was already out on a deferred adjudication arrangement from a prior assault case.

The sequence of events started around 6:10 a.m., with surveillance footage showing a man believed to be Allen breaking into the house through a window. By 6:30 a.m., neighbors could hear loud banging and shouting, witnessing a man opening the front door from inside. Despite the racket resembling an earthquake, emergency assistance didn’t arrive until much later.

Approximately nine hours later, around 3 p.m., another resident returned home, unlocked the door, and heard footsteps signaling an unknown man inside. This person promptly called the police, returning to their car to wait for help. During that time, the man was observed leaving.

According to prosecutors, the individual who identified himself as Allen was dressed in a Disneyland sweatshirt. Strangely, he wore only one shoe; his right foot was bare, but a matching pair was later discovered outside the house.

Upon police arrival, they found the window next to the front door ajar and the blinds distorted. Inside, they discovered Sanchez Landaverde’s body, laying face up at the foot of her bed, covered in blood. She had been heinously beaten and strangled, with notable ligature marks on her neck and blood around her mouth. Medical professionals later determined that her jaw had been severely fractured.

Allen was taken into custody that night around 11 p.m., found lying on a sidewalk roughly 2.5 miles from where the crime occurred. Court documents described apparent bite marks on his right hand.

His criminal record extends over 25 years, featuring charges for robbery, vandalism, theft, and drug-related offenses. Notably, just two months prior, he had entered a no-contest plea for two felonies: grand larceny and assault with a probable risk of serious harm.

Allen pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to heightened charges related to burglary and murder committed during a robbery. If found guilty, he could face a life sentence. He is currently held in custody, without the option for bail.
