DNC Kicks Off Summer Meeting With Maximum Virtue Signaling

DNC’s Upcoming Meeting to Discuss Land Acknowledgment

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is set to convene on Monday, and one of its primary discussions will focus on “land approval.”

This meeting comes on the heels of a recent Quinnipiac poll that revealed only 19% of those surveyed expressed approval of the party’s leadership in Congress. The DNC is facing challenges in meeting its fundraising targets as well. Following some remarks on loyalty, DNC Chair Ken Martin is expected to welcome speakers, including Tim Waltz, a pastor affiliated with the Democratic Party in Minnesota.

Martin introduced Lindy Saumic, the DFL treasurer from Saginaw Ojibwe Country, who will be presenting acknowledgments related to land rights during the gathering.

Land acknowledgments aim to recognize the Indigenous peoples who traditionally inhabited the areas where events occur, as reported by PBS.

During the meeting, Martin stated, “Good morning, let’s take a moment to reflect on our members, friends, family, and the land. The DNC acknowledges and honors the Dakota people, the original stewards of this land. This land isn’t merely something to be claimed or traded; it embodies a history of broken treaties and promises. We operate within a system that often suppresses the cultural and spiritual narratives of Indigenous peoples.”

He added, “As a Democrat, I urge all of you not to simply approve land deals such as these. Instead, show interest, ask questions, and engage with your Indigenous neighbors. We should value this land and its peoples’ heritage with integrity, humility, respect, and compassion. Thank you.”
