DNC reveals ‘Organizing Summer’ campaign tour in important midterm states

DNC announces 'Organizing Summer' campaign tour in key midterm states

Democrats Launch Organizing Summer Initiative Ahead of 2025 Elections

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has kicked off an initiative called “organizing summer” as a precursor to the major elections in 2025 and the mid-term elections in 2026. The aim is to spark enthusiasm among Democrats, create a volunteer network, and increase voter registration.

This effort involves collaboration among various Democratic organizations, including the DNC, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee (DSCC), the Democratic Governor’s Association (DGA), and the State Democratic Association (ASDC).

Particular attention will be directed towards states deemed critical for the Governor’s races, House of Representatives, and Senate battles. These key states include Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

In their outreach, Democrats are emphasizing the drawbacks of President Trump’s tax and spending policies through a mix of both in-person and virtual events.

According to a press release, the aim is to prepare volunteers to engage in authentic conversations in a variety of non-political settings, be it personal circles or community gatherings, whether online or offline. This includes venues like sports events, community groups, book clubs, and social media.

Additionally, outreach initiatives are planned around summer concerts, sports activities, and local trade fairs, as indicated in the release.

The “Summer Organizing” campaign seeks to establish a direct line for supporters to convey feedback they receive from voters, which would help inform the party’s messaging and strategies in an ongoing manner.

A spokesperson highlighted that Trump’s tax fraud issue is one of the least popular laws passed by Congress in four decades. They believe that the more people understand it, the less they support it. This summer, they are focused on making a clear distinction about who is to blame for issues like food insecurity and healthcare challenges.

They affirmed that thousands of volunteers will be mobilized to energize communities, register voters, and ensure that, come 2025, wealthier Republicans are defeated at the polls.
