DNC Union Creates ‘Relief Fund’ for Staffers Laid Off After Kamala Harris Election Loss

Many of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) employees are disgruntled by their recent firings, and the union representing them is furious at their treatment.

Unions supporting DNC members are working to raise money for unemployed workers following the loss of Vice President Kamala Harris (Democratic) to now-President-elect Donald Trump (Republican). reported Fox News. reported on monday.

Since then, the union created A GoFundMe page with a goal of raising $25,000 to support staff.

The page read:

Last week, two-thirds of the DNC staff were fired with little notice or severance pay. We are heartbroken to see our colleagues who have spent countless hours electing Democrats leave under these circumstances, and we are committed to providing retirement benefits to those affected. I'm furious with the DNC leadership for not giving it.

That's why we're creating a relief fund to directly support staff affected by recent job cuts, including single parents and expectant mothers. Funds raised will be distributed equally to laid-off members who choose to receive funds. We hope these funds will ease the economic blow for those affected.

In a statement on the matter, a DNC spokesperson told FOX News: Hardworking staff. ”

The spokesperson also said the DNC has met the terms of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and will continue to support those in transition.

Breitbart News reported on Nov. 6 that the news comes after Harris' debt was reduced by $20 million in the final weeks of her campaign.

Reports a few days later said Harris was still shopping around for financial donors.

Mr. Trump won a landslide victory in the 2024 presidential election held on November 5th, defeating Ms. Harris and her radical leftist running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minnesota).
