Doctor Subpoenaed Over Biden’s Cognitive Health Inquiry

Former President Joe Biden’s personal physician has been called to give testimony amid claims of a cover-up regarding his cognitive health during his presidency.

Rep. James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky and chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has compelled Dr. Kevin O’Connor to appear for a deposition on June 27th.

This subpoena is part of a broader investigation focusing on Biden’s alleged concealment of cognitive decline and the issuance of possibly unauthorized pardons and other actions.

Comer emphasized that the subpoena was signed manually, noting, “An autopen was not used,” in response to past mentions of Biden using an autopen for his presidential duties.

While Comer previously invited Dr. O’Connor for a voluntary interview, the doctor declined, which led to the issuance of the subpoena. Reports indicate that the White House had previously prevented medical personnel from participating in discussions regarding Biden’s evaluations, citing the influence of the Biden family in these matters.

The subpoena also expressed the committee’s concern about O’Connor’s connection to the Biden family and how this relationship may have affected his assessments regarding the former president’s mental fitness for office.

Biden’s cognitive health has drawn scrutiny throughout his presidency, especially following his recent prostate cancer diagnosis and departure from the White House. Dr. O’Connor has often provided reports citing Biden’s overall good health during his time in office.

Having taken care of Biden since 2009, O’Connor has built a close relationship with the former president and his family. He has described Biden as an exceptional leader and emphasizes a family-first attitude in his approach to care.

As speculation grew regarding Biden’s mental acuity, there were calls from both conservative and Democratic circles for O’Connor to offer clarity on the president’s health in response to the ongoing concerns.
